Our research is focusing on innate immune responses and lipid metabolism in microglia and their contributions to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease using various disease-relevant animal models and iPSC-derived cellular models. We are currently looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead projects including the microglial lipid metabolism and TREM2/DAP12-mediated immune responses in Alzheimer’s disease. The successful candidate will have Ph.D. degree in neuroscience or related fields, with experiences in animal models, lipid metabolism, or immumology. These projects are highly innovating and funded by NIH, with extensive collaboration within Dr. Li Gan group in Appel institute as well as collaborators outside WCM.
