Dr. Luo obtained her Ph.D. degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2000. Her postdoctoral training was done in the laboratory of Dr. Paul Greengard, the 2000 Nobel Prize winner, at Rockefeller University in the field of Alzheimer’s disease. She discovered the therapeutic role that small molecule inhibitors of Hsp90 play in regulating tau degradation and aggregation using AD-relevant cell and mouse models. She is a K01 grant Principle Investigator doing further research on the Hsp90 project.
